    Tyler Coston

    Tyler Coston is a seasoned basketball coach, a full-time course director, .His journey in basketball started when he attended Point Guard College in 1998 and was mentored by the legendary Dick DeVenzio. It was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with the sport.

    In 1999, Tyler led the Lynden Christian High School basketball team to the Washington State Championship and earned first-team All-State honors. He then went on to play university basketball at Trinity Western University, where he was named to the Canada West All-Rookie team. Tyler's passion and dedication to basketball continued to grow, and he transferred to the University of Alberta where he played a pivotal role in leading the Golden Bears to Canada West Gold and a spot in the national tournament in 2004.

    Tyler's experience in playing university basketball opened up a new world of opportunities for him. From 2005-2007, he coached the women’s basketball team at Trinity Western University while running a skills-development program that produced five Division I (USA) athletes. His players were able to develop their skills and play at the highest level of college basketball in the United States.

    In 2007, Tyler was offered the position of Assistant Coach at Portland State University. During his first year at Portland State, the Vikings won the Big Sky Conference with an overall record of 23-8. This success allowed them to compete in the NCAA Tournament where they lost to the eventual 2008 champions, the Kansas Jayhawks. Tyler's coaching style and expertise were instrumental in the team's success, and his leadership helped the team to reach their full potential.

    Tyler's contributions to the world of basketball are not limited to coaching. He has dedicated his life to sharing his knowledge and passion for the game with aspiring basketball players, coaches, and enthusiasts.
